Unionville, Pennsylvania
A quaint cemetery located in the historic village of Unionville, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The mailing
address is P.O. Box 394, Unionville, PA 19375. The cemetery is a well-maintained, non-denominational and non-
profit resting place for loved ones since 1846 including a large number of Civil War veterans. Contributions are
tax deductible under I.R.S. Section 501 c (13).
Unionville Cemetery Association (UCA) was started in 1846 by six local residents who invested $50 each to
purchase property: Joseph Dowdall, C.S. Seal, Elisha Phipps, John Walton, William R. Chambers and Isaac
Smith. According to the Charter, the property was signed over to the deed holders who now own the Cemetery.
In 1860, the beautiful iron fence was donated by Anna W. Seal. The original fence has been refurbished several
times and a full restoration was completed in 2014 through donations from lot holders and friends of the
Cemetery.
